You’ll never buy lip balm again with this smooth and creamy all natural formula. No more paying high dollar for so called natural products that aren’t all natural. Learn to make your own lip balm in the tube or tub. You’ll create two different flavored batches in class together and you’ll go home with two tubes to try. Additional supplies available for purchase in class.
Learn to make soap just like Grandma used to make. In this two day class we’ll create one large batch of soap together on day one. On day two we’ll come back to cut our soap while discussing the various molding options, how to dry and cure your soap, etc. We’ll cover lye safety and work area clean-up in class. You’ll go home with one or more bars of soap to use yourself or give away. Additional supplies will be available for purchase.
REQUIREMENTS: You must wear old clothes, long sleeves, have on covered toe shoes and long pants. You will also need a pair of rubber gloves and safety glasses (eye glasses or sun glasses are fine).
We’ll discuss commercial products versus all natural products in this class. You’ll receive several recipes for your face and body. In class we will create a batch of lotion as well as a facial tonic (clarifier, toner, ph balancer) of the classes’ choice. You’ll bring home a sample of each product to test out along with your recipes. Additional supplies available for purchase in class.
So what exactly is a bath tea? Well, you’ll know what it is and how to make it after you’ve attended this fun class. Your body’s largest organ is your skin so be good to it and it will be good to you. You’ll learn why salts are important to your skin, what the best kinds of salts are to use for your bath, and why the all natural bath salts are so expensive. You’ll go home with a bath salt project of your choice from two recipes discussed in class as well as several fun recipes to try at home. Additional supplies available for purchase in class. Extra take home projects can be made for an additional fee.
One of the harshest commercial bath and body products on the market is shampoo. You’ll learn why it is so damaging to your hair and body along with a new way to think about hair and shampoo. We’ll discuss natural versus commercial products, so called “natural” products on the market now, etc. You’ll create two different types of shampoo to bring home and try on your own hair allowing you to decide which style shampoo works best for you. We will create both a liquid shampoo and a shampoo bar in class. Not only will this replace your current shampoo but you will no longer need to use conditioner and may not need to use any additional product in your hair at all (such as hair spray, mousse, etc). Additional supplies available for purchase in class.
You’ll be able to create your own custom flavored bread dipping oil, salad dressing, or general use cooking oil after you have attended this class. We’ll discuss when to use extra virgin olive oil versus regular olive oil, a hot process versus a cold process, and more. You’ll also go home with tons of “mix and match” flavor ideas as well as some cooking ideas. PLUS, we’ll do some bread dipping in class! Yum...
REQUIREMENTS: Bring your own olive oil and one or more jars to create some fun flavors. We’ll provide every thing necessary for the “flavorings”.
Everyone that has used this laundry soap agrees that it is as good, if not better, than all the top brand name detergents on the market! But at a tiny fraction of the cost - plus it is all natural with no harsh cleansing chemicals like those found in all commercial detergents. Using this milder laundry soap will get you the same results as far as cleaning but will keep your colors brighter for longer due to lack of those harsh chemicals. And, yes, this will work for those of you with front loading washers. 50 loads will run you approximately $2.00 total!
REQUIREMENT: Please bring a 5 to 10 cup tight sealing container(s) to bring home a portion of the laundry soap batch created in class.
“Instant gratification soap” is how we refer to the process of melt and pour, glycerin style soap. Learn how to create fun shapes out of your soaps, create layers, embed objects, along with some little secrets to make this easy and fun project even more easy and more fun. We’ll make several bars together in class then you will be “set free” to create a bar of your own to take home along with one soap mold. Additional bars can be made in class for an additional fee. Some supplies will be available for purchase in class.
These days you need to be careful what products you use in your home and on your body. We’ll discuss natural versus commercial products, which ingredients are best for sanitizing, safe for you and your home, and so much more. You’ll create a hands-on project in class to take home along with recipes for cleansers, sanitizers, hand wipes, etc.
Lay a foundation for your natural products with specific details on herbs and essential oils. We’ll answer questions like “Which ones create a calm feeling?” or “Which will wake you up in the morning?” We’ll look at health benefits, aroma-therapy benefits, best cleansers and astringents, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties and so much more. This class does not have a hands-on project. Class is open discussion with handouts.
Lotion bars are the new big thing, but carrying them around can be a pain. People leave them at home or put them in a baggie to carry in their purse or car. NUTS to that! In this class you will create a take home project. We’ll be putting our lotion into a twist up stick. Much easier for travel and every day use. Create one stick in your choice of scent in class while discussing the down side to the commercial equivalent. Additional supplies available for purchase in class.
Explore ways you can decrease your household costs including ways to save big on home phone service, internet, premium television (satellite / cable), couponing, travel, and more. This class does not have a hands-on project. Class is open discussion with handouts.
